Our Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited programs include: Internal Medicine Residency Program, Family Medicine Residency Program, Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program, and the Transitional Year Internship Program.

INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM

The goal of our Internal Medicine Residency Program is to train and educate residents to be competent and compassionate practitioners in the core knowledge and skills of internal medicine. Our hope is to improve the health of the people in California and, especially, to serve Riverside County by training a diverse workforce of physicians that will improve the health of the medically under-served.

FAMLIY MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM

The goal of our Family Medicine Residency Program is to train competent, compassionate physicians who are well versed in the care of underserved communities while also striving to focus on Family Medicine-Centered education.  While in our 36-month program, residents will have the opportunity to treat patients that are part of a diverse patient population and be taught by physicians who are experts in their field.

DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY RESIDENCY PROGRAM

The goal of our Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Hemet Valley Medical Center is to prepare our residents to begin the safe, unsupervised practice of radiology and meet the American Board of Radiology certification requirements by providing a comprehensive and advanced radiology program. We currently have three ACGME-approved spots available each year.

TRANSITIONAL YEAR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Transitional Year Internship Program is a one year training experience that allows interns to fulfill the clinical prerequisite for specialty training. Resident shall demonstrate core competencies during the residency training in the following fields:

Medical knowledge
Patient care
Interpersonal communication skills
Professionalism
Practice-based learning and improvement
Systems-based practice

RESEARCH

At Hemet Global Medical Center’s Postgraduate Residency Program we encourage residents to get involved in research, and they are encouraged to do so.

We support our residents in furthering their careers, whether it be in primary care or in seeking specialized fellowship opportunities. We train our residents to graduate from our program ready for independent practice.
