South Coast Global Medical Center (SCGMC), the closest hospital to the world-renowned South Coast Plaza Shopping Mall, has been serving central Orange County since 1973, and is highly regarded for delivering excellent healthcare. Its 178-licensed bed facility offers specialty services through its Emergency Department, Maternal Child Health Delivery Land program, Bridges for Newborns program, Senior Mental Health and Sub-Acute care. The Bridges for Newborns program at South Coast Global Medical Center is one of four Early Action programs developed by the Children and Families Commission to improve the health and welfare of children in Orange County.
Our team works diligently with new mothers to ensure well-baby check-ups and immunizations are completed in the early months and that patients are linked to ongoing primary and preventive care. In addition, South Coast Global Medical Center is a Healthgrades 2015 Award Recipient for Patient Safety.
